Two photos today... This morning, after returning from errands, Michaela informs me that "this photo" is my 365 photo. I informed her that it needs to be one that I've taken to which she replied, "Oh." She doesn't know this, but I thought it would be fun to have a "guest photographer" today along with my normal 365. :) Without further ado...

Day 7
One week already... Who would have thought I'd have so much fun with this project? Already, I've been looking at ordinary scenes differently, wondering how I can capture it on camera. I LOVE that!!
Logan has a thing for bellies these days & he's always quick to show off his... Captured forever.
Another one that is just totally precious - Great-Grandma & Great-Grandson...

Day 6
Yesterday was spent at Mike's grandparents for a family reunion. When we returned home & I downloaded the pictures off the camera, I couldn't believe I had taken 50... I think this project has gotten under my skin! :)
Since I couldn't pick one, here are a few of my favorites... Will be adding more today or tomorrow from today's part of the reunion.
Baby Cole (isn't he sooooo cute??)
Mike & Aunt Joanne
Gorgeous Ava striking a pose outside Aunt Pat & Uncle Denny's RV
Muscle Man Logan
Grandma & Grandpa - Our Nonagenarians Amazing, no?
Artsy shot - Behind Grandpa's Shed

Day 3 - Part II
Decided to explore the little A95 while Logan ate dinner. Found out the ISO setting is 400 max - eek! Ah well... New camera has shipped, so I should be in camera heaven quite soon.
These 3 shots were all taken with the same settings: ISO 400, 1/30, F3.5. I set the camera to B/W for two & sepia for the third. I just love the look on his face in the happy B/W shot; the cranky face in the other B/W. The sepia was just messing around while he scarfed down a hot dog and mac & cheese. (Oh, and please pardon the noise in all three shots... Once I get the new Canon, I'll actually have higher ISO capabilities! Woo hoo!)

Day 3
I tried experimenting with the little A95 and put it on manual. I took several shots & I wish I could remember exactly what I did for each. Oh well... I know this one I shot with a fairly wide aperture (I think it was around f2.8) and a long shutter speed (about 1.5). Just playing around & I've done nothing to retouch the image, but resize. I need to learn from my mistakes, right? If nothing else, I like the composition. :)

Day 2
Logan loves his cars and trucks. Passionately. I have never seen a child get so engrossed in toys before. This morning, when he grabbed a small car (believe it was Doc from Cars) and his big fire truck and started playing with them on the radiator (as per normal), I had to capture it. This is just such a purely Logan shot...

Day 1
Project 365
I've heard a lot about Project 365 and thought it sounded like fun. However, for some reason, I got it in my head that I had to start on January 1. Ha! I read a blog yesterday that said start whenever - have fun with it - just do it 365 days in a row & who cares when you start, just that you START!
So, instead of waiting for my precious new camera to arrive (a lovely Canon PowerShot SX10 IS - hubba hubba), I decided to whip out our old PowerShot A95 and just snap a few shots to capture moments. Once I get the SX10 IS, I will really be exploring angles, subject matter, etc. - and everything I shoot will be related, in some way, to a day in the life of our family.
