Week 11

I'm having a lot of fun with the project, but I am getting frustrated with my camera. Not being able to control aperture & shutter speed just leads to one annoyed Karen. Set the aperture to 2.8, zoom, then whammo - the camera says no to 2.8 and resets to 4.0 or smaller depending on how much I zoomed. There have been times - ok, many - where it just makes me want to pull my hair out. I don't want the camera to think for me!! I just keep reminding myself that I'm saving and that soon enough, I'll have a lovely dSLR in my hands and a few pieces of glass.

Ok. I feel better for the vent... And with that, this week's pictures:

Day 77 - My big girl helping out with K.P. after dinner

Day 76 - I made Logan a rocket today. After zooming him around the first floor (both on the ground, then actually lifting him in the rocket and running around), we decided that Elefun needed a turn. ZOOM!!!!

Day 75 - Let the preparation for putting our house on the market begin. Sadly, we'll have to recover the floor. Someone thought large screws & tons of nails might actually be good for an oak floor (not to mention the house settling has created large cracks between the wall & stairs.) Look at that gorgeous grain... It's a sin.

Day 74 - Ava came out with me & decided my lens cap looked interesting. I like the angle of this shot - I was standing in our garden halfway down & she was on the top step.

Day 73 - Mud. You Know Who. Need I say more?

Day 72 - Whirly twirly! I snuck quietly up our stairs, poked my camera through the railing, and tried to get a shot of all three of them. Didn't quite work, but the fun & energy is definitely apparent.

Day 71 - Someone has the Mommy gene. Wonder who? (At least this time, he has a real camera in his hand. Normally he has an imaginary camera and even makes the shutter sound when he "snaps" a picture.)
